| HONEYMOON
KEEPSAKE
Baker and Dana had just returned from a triumphant
bike tour of northern Italy. Baker's mother Pamela
had all the secret codes to their vacation photos,
and there were hundreds of them. So Nancy asked
Pamela to select the most outstanding sights from
each album.
Pamela's
picks were the cappuccino; the long view of the
Alps; the sheep; bathtub; and photos
of Dana and Franke in their cyclist get-ups.
The biggest trick was making it look like the
newlyweds were hamming it up - together - in
front of that heroic biker statue!

BIRTHDAY
DREAMSCAPE
How do you say thank you to a sister who makes
your kids birthday cakes that look like miniature
dioramas? Nancy worked with Dawn to come up with
the perfect homage: she put every cake along the
top of a carousel because Dawn’s sister Stacy
loved amusement parks. Other great details: a child’s
painting of a rainbow worked into the sky, Dawn
and Stacy as kids tucked into one of the carousel
sleighs, and new heads for the little girls in
their Mary Poppins and Minnie Mouse costumes!

DREAMSCAPE
Susan loves fun socks; her husband David loves
cruises. So Nancy asked for childhood photos of
Susan and David and sat them on Santa’s lap
and then sat Santa on a beach. Nancy created a
new pair of arms for David (to hold Susan so she
wouldn’t slip off), dressed him in a Hawaiian
shirt and gave Susan those striped socks! Susan
writes: "This ROCKS!!!!" I can't tell
you how much I enjoyed the process, the anticipation
and the end result. Thank you from the bottom of
my overflowing heart!"

HEALING DREAMSCAPE Simon was a Holocaust survivor; a secular man who read the Jerusalem Post religiously from cover to cover and had the strength to run the New York Marathon every year. What could be more fitting than the beautiful old etching of Mount Sinai selected as the backdrop for this commemorative photo-collage? The little girl cradled in his arms is his great-granddaughter - a beautiful impossibility - because Sydney was born after he passed away.
Dreamscapes from $48 This is of course, all custom work, and Nancy will be happy to quote a price for you. The fewer photos involved, the lower the price. Sample prices are $48 for work with 2 photos, $128 with up to 4 photos, $288 for work with 8 photos, etc. Included in the price is photo research (to find the perfect backdrop or "minutiae" to make the collage really pop), minimal photo-restoration (for historical photos) and photo-retouching (such as creating a second shoe)

Folks, this is NOT just photo manipulation. It's the stories and emotion that flow from Nancy's artwork that will amaze you. "Wishful reality." That's
what Nancy Gershman's photo-collages create from your photos. Nancy 's
custom photo composites are, in the words of journalist Judith Weinstein, "so
seamless, and yet seemly at the same time." Maybe it's a surreal
landscape where you at age 16, 31, 52 and 89 all appear to be playing together,
sharing your favorite toys. Or maybe it's a healing dreamscape where we
combine photos of favorite places, objects, animals and people in a completely
unexpected way. There's a ton of reasons to commission art by photo collage
artist Nancy Gershman: for
coming of age corporate roast or centennial big wedding anniversary or birthday sympathy gift or as a talking piece to put the family back together again
Nancy 's photocollages are not merely unique, personalized photo gifts. They are beautifully impossible works of art that look spectacular in a den or bedroom, in a dining room or even a lobby. They would be unbelievably meaningful for the family of someone in hospice or a residential home, or someone who's passed away. What kind of a memento are you wishing for? If it's art for your sake, Nancy Gershman is your collage artist.

| HEALING DREAMSCAPE.
A daughter wanted to reconcile the family after
decades of abandonment - apparently by a father
who had a serious case of Wanderlust and who
converted to Buddhism shortly before his death.
The painting drying on the clothesline represents
the mother's creativity and practicality. Through
it all, she was a source of strength, managing
to bring up five children alone.

| VALENTINE'S DAY DREAMSCAPE A loving wife had a vision for a very special valentine - a black and white portrait that would include her kids, her honeymoon, the Magic Kingdom and her in-laws as newlyweds (although now deceased). Placed in the hills, out in the beyond, Grandma and Grandpa appear to watch over this sublime scene like angels. When she first saw it, daughter Maria said ten times, "Daddy is going to cry." "He's very manly, very sensitive", adds Desiree of her husband. "Unusual for an Irishman. That's why I wanted to make it for him. A picture that says this is where he came from and this is where he's now". | |
